PLANET Technology Corporation, a global leader in IP-based networking and communications, announced that its President and CEO, Jack Chen, has been honored with the "Sustainable Entrepreneur of the Year in Taiwan" award. This recognition highlights Chen's outstanding achievements and performance in leading the company with continuous innovations in networking and communications while implementing corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Since the establishment of PLANET Technology in 1993, Mr. Jack Chen has led the company to international recognition of its 'PLANET' brand, primarily attributed to ongoing innovations in networking and communications.
Mr. Chen expanded the 'PLANET' brand's awareness across Europe, followed by the Americas, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Today, PLANET has built distribution channels in more than 140 countries across five continents, making 'PLANET' one of the leading brands in the global ICT market.
In line with the trend of digital transformation, PLANET has tirelessly developed high-quality networking and communication products, aligned with IoT, IIoT, and Industry 4.0 technologies to support smart cities, intelligent transportation, industrial automation, home automation, and more.
The company offers a comprehensive range of IoT- and IIoT-based LAN switches, wireless LAN devices, fiber optic connectivity, Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices, industrial networking equipment, and intelligent centralized management systems. PLANET also provides comprehensive PoE solutions, Touch LCD Ethernet Switches with human-machine interfaces, and renewable energy PoE Switches.
Through product innovation and branding, PLANET has maintained its competitive edge, successfully overcoming the global financial crisis in 2008 and low-cost competition from China during the 2010s.
With altruism at its core, Mr. Chen also introduced a corporate culture centered on CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
The company actively enhances its corporate governance mechanisms in daily operations, ensuring sustainable development that benefits shareholders, employees, customers, suppliers, communities, and other stakeholders. In 2004, Mr. Chen established the 'PLANET Educational Charitable Trust,' Taiwan's first public trust fund focused on supporting education.
This initiative effectively implemented programs offering corrective teaching, psychological counseling, emotional therapy, and other activities for underprivileged students with learning delays or emotional/behavioral challenges. Over the past 15 years, more than 8,000 disadvantaged children have regained motivation and confidence in learning through this program, significantly improving human resource quality and social development.
In recent years, PLANET's CSR activities have aligned with the United Nations' 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to create long-term positive impacts on society and the environment.
